Joyful responsibility

We are delighted to have been shortlisted for Responsible Accessories Brand in the 2027 Future Icons Awards by Country & Town House.

The award spotlights accessories brands that lead with integrity and creativity, with particular attention to responsible sourcing, ethical craftsmanship, circularity, innovation and transparency.

Country & Town House’s philosophy behind the awards resonates with us: “joyful responsibility”. It’s the belief that responsibility needn’t be joyless, and beauty, originality, pleasure and exceptional design do not need to be sacrificed when making sensible choices.

Our handbags and accessories are made in deliberately small editions, using rescued premium leather from some of Italy’s finest tanneries — beautiful hides left unused by luxury maisons because of overstock, colour changes or seasonality. We never commission new hides.

Production takes place in Italy by specialist makers and artisans within small and family-run businesses with generations of expertise. Collaboration and fair pricing are key, rather than driving down the price of extraordinary skills and craftsmanship.

The textiles we use have stories of their own: heritage English tweed and Irish linen from longstanding mills. Our packaging uses responsibly sourced materials.  We are proud supporters of The Owls Trust, a charity that is dedicated to the rescue and rehabilitation of the magnificent bird that sits at the heart of our identity.

Responsibility and luxury can happily inhabit the same world — one filled with colour, character, craftsmanship, rarity and a little irreverence.  So we are most pleased to see that approach recognised by the Future Icons Awards.
